Good news reduces stage fright

A regular dose of good news can calm your nerves and give you the boost you need to present with confidence and poise.

According to a study by J. P. Harrell in 2000, when participants watched concentrations of positive news and media, they had decreased levels of stress and anxiety. Hence my claim it can calm your presentation jitters. And lower stress levels improve your ability to think clearly, speak fluently and react to your audience and circumstances.

But there’s more to it than that. Good news helps create a positive mindset – and that in itself is a great catalyst for success.

These days, we need good news more than ever. I encourage you to incorporate a dose of positive news into your daily routine. It provides a welcome reprieve from the alarming headlines dominating the media these days.

I’ve long been a fan of the GoodNewsNetwork and I recommend you check out their website or download the app. I’m also loving SGN, recently launched by John Krasinski. It provides “some good news” and a great laugh – a perfect combination to help us through these troubling times. I’ve included links in the comments section.
